What to expect in this course:

No matter your level of experience in online learning, this module will provide resources to help you succeed in online courses. Many courses have online sections, others are hybrid (a combination of in-person and online learning activities), and some are online only. Every student can benefit from a basic understanding of how to navigate online learning.

Keep this in mind: Your goals as a student, and the goals your instructors/professors have for you, remain the same whether you learn in person or online. What differs is how you pursue and attain those goals. This module is designed to help you make choices that function well in the online environment and contribute to your successful learning.

Before you begin:

If you completed this module as a course assignment or program requirement, you will submit the badge you've earned as evidence of your completion. Once you complete the module and receive a 100% on all quizzes, you will automatically receive the badge in your scarletmail email, but you can also click on the Module titled, "Claim Your Digital Badge."

There may be up to a 24 hour wait time in receiving your badge, so make sure to complete the module in time to receive your badge before the due date.

When you are ready to share your badge, open the email or the module titled, "Claim Your Digital Badge," where you received your badge and View Badge to click on the share icon, then copy the url for that badge (make sure you copy the url for the specific badge, with your name showing on the page). You can also share it on social media and other platforms by clicking on the Share buttons.

What to do next:

To complete this course, click the link at the bottom of this page and open the first page, "Where to Begin" then complete each step in order using the "Next" button at the bottom right of the page. There are short quizzes along the way. You must receive a 5/5 on each quiz to continue on. Once you finish all the sections, you will be issued a badge for completion. You can copy the url to provide evidence of completion to your instructors.
