| Textbook |
Not required, but the following could be helpful:
|
| Quizzes |
- Generally given online (4-5 total)*
- You will have a window of at least 24 hours to begin the quiz.
- Once started, you will have about 30 minutes to complete it.
- You may not pause the quiz and complete it later.
- You must complete the quiz within the time frame allotted.
- NO MAKEUPS!!
*There may be one or more quizzes given in class.
|
| Exams |
There will be three midterm exams:
- 2/21 (Friday)
- 4/2 (Wednesday)
- 5/2 (Friday)
Exam Grade Policy:
- Your best TWO (2) of THREE (3) midterm scores will determine your MIDTERM GRADE, which is 30% of your FINAL GRADE.
- Thus, your 2 best midterm scores will each be worth 15% of your final grade.
- If you take all THREE midterms, your lowest midterm score will be DROPPED.
- If you take only TWO midterms, they will both count.
- You no longer have the option to take just ONE midterm.
- Therefore, there is no disadvantage to taking all THREE midterms.
- There is still no FINAL EXAM. The third midterm will focus on material from the third part of the course.
- There are still NO MAKEUPS.
|
| Homework |
- Given approximately every 3-4 weeks (4-5 total).
- Homework must be submitted online.
- If handwritten, it must be scanned to a readable format (preferably PDF).
- Illegible responses will not receive credit.
- All homework must be your own individual work or your partner's, as applicable.
|
| Grading |
- 40% Homework
- 30% Quizzes
- 30% Exams
|
| Single Regrade Policy |
- We (Instructor, TAs and Graders) work to ensure your exams and homework assignments are graded impartially.
- However, accidents do happen. If you feel that your homework assignment or exam has been graded unfairly, you may request a SINGLE regrade.
- Choose carefully - only if the grade is severely impacted. It will most probably not affect your grade in this course.
- Submit your request by email to your TA within ONE WEEK of grades being published (and booklets returned, if applicable).

| Academic Integrity |
Rutgers University takes academic dishonesty very seriously. By enrolling in this course, you assume responsibility for familiarizing yourself with the Academic Integrity Policy and the possible penalties (including suspension and expulsion) for violating the policy. As per the policy, all suspected violations will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct. Please review the Academic Integrity Policy at: http://nbacademicintegrity.rutgers.edu/ |
| Accommodations |
Rutgers University welcomes students with disabilities into all of the University's educational programs. In order to receive consideration for reasonable accommodations, a student with a disability must contact the appropriate disability services office at the campus where you are officially enrolled, participate in an intake interview, and provide documentation: https://ods.rutgers.edu/students/documentation-guidelines.
If the documentation supports your request for reasonable accommodations, your campus's disability services office will provide you with a Letter of Accommodation. Please share this letter with your instructors and discuss the accommodations with them as early in your courses as possible.
To begin this process, please complete the registration form (https://webapps.rutgers.edu/student-ods/forms/registration).
