SO.....WHAT IS JUNIOR REVIEW?

In the spring of the Junior year, all students undertaking the BFA in Visual Arts and the BFA in Design have a mandatory artistic review with faculty in their declared concentration. This is a unique opportunity to examine, discuss, and assess your art, your progress, and the direction your work is taking in a focused, individualized way with two faculty members in your area of concentration.

For students conducting a double concentration, their faculty team will consist of one faculty member from each area. The discussion will also include thesis plans. Students do not need to present a specific plan for thesis during the review, but should have some idea about the themes and directions they are interested in pursuing.

The Junior Review gives students the opportunity to take a step back and look at one's body of work as a whole, celebrate their growth, understand their strengths and explore areas that would benefit from further development and engagement as they move into their senior year. The review offers students further insight into the direction their work is taking together with the faculty team, as they begin to work towards thesis.

Students must pass the junior review to earn credit in Thesis.

SPRING 2024 - JUNIOR REVIEWS WILL TAKE PLACE DURING SPRING FESTIVAL WEEK:

MARCH 25th - 29th, 2024.
