- Due No Due Date
- Points 0
Instructions
In preparation for the first day of the workshop, please develop a five-minute presentation as specified below. Please note that there will be no time for preparation during the workshop.
Step 1 - Select a Topic
-
Select a topic/area that you wish to present. Some ideas:
a) Part of a course you have taught or are currently teaching.
b) One or more of your job functions/responsibilities.
c) An area outside your job about which you have information or in which you have expertise.
- Select only a five-minute segment of the topic—that is, don’t try to condense a thirty-minute session into a five-minute presentation.
Step 2 - Develop a Lesson
-
Review the Co-teaching Instructor-in-training evaluation form
Download Co-teaching Instructor-in-training evaluation form to guide your planning as you develop a lesson plan for the presentation (objective, steps, etc.)
- Include student participation (as opposed to delivering a five-minute lecture).
Step 3 - Prepare Materials
Prepare any materials you plan to screen share during your presentation, such as PowerPoint presentation or handout files you can screen share or upload to distribute.
Step 4 - Familiarize Yourself with Zoom
Your live presentation will take place virtually using the web conferencing tool Zoom. If you are unfamiliar with this tool, consider familiarizing yourself with Zoom by following the link below and watching the videos.
